The SMP Robotics Camp provides an immersive, hands-on experience where students create, program, and control functional robots, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The SMP Robotics Camp at St. Michael's Preparatory School offers an exhilarating, hands-on journey where middle school students (grades 3-8) design, build, and code their own robots to conquer exciting challenges. This immersive experience empowers young innovators to unlock the secrets of robotics while mastering essential STEM skills. Campers engage in activities that strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, guiding them through real-world applications and the limitless possibilities of robotics. The curriculum is designed to ignite a passion for technology and set students on the path to becoming problem-solving pioneers. Students will gain confidence as they construct robot platforms, complete missions, and code their creations to perform specific tasks. No prior experience is necessary, making it accessible for all skill levels.
A typical day involves hands-on activities where campers design, build, and program their robots, followed by challenges and competitions. There is a lunch break in between.
This camp is best for students in grades 3-8 who crave a challenge and want to dive deep into the world of cutting-edge technology and robotics.
