About this camp

At iD Tech BattleBots® Robotics Camp, kids and teens dive into the exciting world of robotics, combining engineering craftsmanship with the thrill of competition. Campers design, build, and program custom BattleBots using the VEX V5 Robotics Design System. They learn mechanical engineering principles, program robot behaviors and controls in C++, and utilize 3D printing to create custom parts and armor for their bots. The week culminates in a BattleBots®-style tournament where students test their creations against peers in challenges like races, obstacle courses, and capture the flag. This immersive experience fosters creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, preparing students for future STEM endeavors.
