Camp Invention is the only nationally recognized summer program focused on creativity, innovation, real-world problem-solving, and the spirit of invention, in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Camp Invention: Spark offers an engaging, hands-on STEM experience where children in grades K-6 become confident creators. The program features four unique modules: Space Morphers™, Make Waves™, Fur-ensics™, and The Infringers™. In Space Morphers, campers build DIY rockets and embark on a mission to terraform a new planet, designing inventions for extreme conditions and conducting scientific observations in a Space Lab. Make Waves inspires entrepreneurship as children create prototypes, pitch innovative products, and design billboard boats while exploring buoyancy and physics. Fur-ensics sharpens detective skills through forensic science, investigating mysteries with robotic capybaras and analyzing clues. The Infringers module has campers teaming up with the Innovation Force® to solve community challenges, designing wearable cryptography devices, and learning about intellectual property protection. Throughout the week, campers develop creative problem-solving, collaboration, persistence, and critical thinking skills, all while being inspired by real-world inventors.
Each day, children rotate through two morning and two afternoon experiences, along with collaborative games, starting and ending at Base Camp with warm-up and problem-solving activities.
This camp is best for curious children entering grades K-6 who enjoy building, experimenting, solving mysteries, working with friends, and turning ideas into physical creations.
